Welcome to the etica website. I hope that our website provides you with sufficient information regarding the etica group and a basis for us to meet in person. As many of you may know, the etica group is a Professional Consulting Firm which provides Architectural, Engineering, Building Envelope Consulting, and Construction Observation Services. Having said that, we are in the business of helping people build their visions. We have assembled a dedicated group of professionals with significant hands-on experience in each of our business units to serve your needs. Combining the talents our staff - and utilizing relationships we have established with other professionals - our firm functions as a full service design firm to serve corporate, institutional, public sector, and private sector clients in the Midwest. We have offices in both Indianapolis and in New Haven (greater Ft. Wayne area), Indiana and we are a certified Women Owned Business Enterprise (WBE). Sustainable Design - As indicated by several of the project descriptions included in this website, the etica group promotes Sustainable Design, is an Energy Star Partner, an Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce Green Business member, and we have LEED Accredited Professionals on staff. Although we design projects “from the ground up”, etica has always focused on the design of rehab/renovation projects of existing facilities for clients. We have chosen to be a niche marketer of rehab/renovation design services because this fits perfectly with our commitment to innovation and the sustainable reuse of existing facilities. Our strategy is to add value to client projects and in doing so to earn a reputation for both quality and successful project delivery. Affiliations - In addition to being active in the community, members of our firm support their respective professional organizations and we are active in the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), American Institute of Architects (AIA), National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), Rotary, US Green Build Council (USGBC), Indiana Water Environment Association (IWEA), Design Build Institute of America (DBIA), and the Greater Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce. On the Economy - Along with many of our friends in the country, etica has been impacted by the recent general economic downturn. While we cannot begin to resolve all the financial hardships caused by the economy and tightened project budgets, I believe we have come up with a small way that etica can help relieve some of the near-term project related costs. In an effort to support current and future clients and to help you grow your business, we will continue the implementation of our “mini” economic stimulus program to promote the design of private sector construction or renovation projects which begin in 2011. In order for a project to qualify for the benefits of the etica economic stimulus program, the following general guidelines must be met: > The project must be initiated during the 2011 calendar year > The project must be for a Client or an Owner not previously served by etica > The project applies only to the first project for the Client or the first project for the project Owner during the year If you have a potential project you would like to discuss or would like to learn more about our firm, please contact me and I will be happy to arrange a meeting to present the etica team and discuss how we believe we can assist you in delivering your successful project. Thank you again for visiting our website, and I look forward to meeting with you soon. Jessica A. Nickloy, AAIA CEO the etica group, inc.
