Jessica A. Nickloy, AAIA CEO Ms. Nickloy, Assoc. AAIA, is the Chief Executive Officer of the etica group. Ms. Nickloy’s professional background includes business operations management and “hands-on” experience in the architectural/engineering fields. Her engineering and architectural experience includes project management, fieldwork, stormwater permit support, construction easement acquisition, and infrastructure construction observation. On a daily basis, Ms. Nickloy manages construction observation projects, business operations, and assists with marketing efforts. She works closely with clients, architects, and engineers in addition to sub and prime contractors to ensure the timely delivery of projects and to develop and maintain business relationships. During her career, Ms. Nickloy has assumed increasingly responsible management and marketing positions which have provided her with the necessary experience to lead the etica group in the areas of business management including personnel, finance, and corporate management. Ronald L. Baker, AIA President Mr. Ronald L. Baker, AIA is the President of the etica group, inc. and focuses on professional Architectural services and Business Development for the firm. Mr. Baker has gained over 35 years of architectural experience since he received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Ball State University. Throughout his career Mr. Baker has been actively engaged in a variety of projects in the educational, municipal, health care, correctional, and industrial areas. Mr. Baker is also listed on the DNR Qualified Professional Roster for Historic Architecture.
Mr. Baker is very dedicated to giving back to the community and his profession. He is a past President of the Indiana section of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and continues to be active in the organization today. In addition, Mr. Baker served as past President of the Builders Exchange of St. Joseph Valley, Inc., President of the Beiger Heritage Foundation, and Board Member of the Mishawaka Historic Review Board. Mark Westphal, P.E. Vice President Mr. Mark Westphal, P.E. is the Vice President of the etica group, inc. leads the engineering services unit of the company. Mr. Westphal is an alumnus of Purdue University and has worked in a wide variety of engineering roles during his 35 year professional career. Mr. Westphal began his career in the mining industry whwere he focused on the environmental engineering aspects of mining at both the operations and corporate levels. During the last half of his mining career he worked in environmental engineering, mine engineering, and production management positions at two of the largest coal mines in the United States. In 1990 Mr. Westphal began working in the environmental engineering and consulting engineering areas. Since that time Mr. Westphal has been employed by local and national engineering consulting firms in the Indianapolis area and has primarily concentrated on environmental, water, wastewater, and sustainable site development projects. Chris Baker, AAIA Northern Indiana Office & Building Envelope Department Manager Mr. Chris Baker is etica’s Building Envelope Department & Northern Indiana Office Manager. During his 20 year career, Mr. Baker’s primary focus has been in the design and evaluationof exterior building envelopes (including roof renovation). Mr. Baker has become widely respected in the building envelope field and has a wide client base including corporate, university, and K-12 clients. He has designed over 50 roofing projects at Indiana University and Purdue University and has conducted numerous roof studies. Mr. Baker has worked for over two dozen K-12 Public School Corporations in Indiana, specifically on roof projects. His varied experience includes certification as an Aquatics Facility Operator and has been actively working with various entities on pool design and renovation, and the mechanical renovation of pools. Mr. Baker’s expertise makes him a valuable resource not only for the etica group but also for any building owner experiencing problems or developing maintenance plans for their building envelopes.
