LiDAR and Survey Technician

Summary

The Etica Group is seeking a motivated individual who is ready to immediately assist or be trained to work with LiDAR collection and extraction, as well as integrating traditional survey data though proper workflows and procedures. This individual would not only continue learning LiDAR and CAD software, but also be able to assist working with other team members on both public and private projects.

Responsibilities would include but are not limited to:
  • Work directly under the supervision of professional surveyor(s) and managers.

  • Utilizing CAD software ranging from preprocessing data, production, and documentation.

  • Extract planimetric and 3D surface data from a point cloud environment.

  • Communicate and interact with staff members.

  • Work flexible hours to meet scheduled deadlines.

  • Learn and/or utilize TopoDOT software.

  • Learn and/or utilize Trimble Business Center software.

  • Learn and/or utilize utilizing Pix4D software.

  • Visit job sites and perform drone flights.

  • QA/QC.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Survey data collection field experience | recommended

  • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot License | recommended

  • An associate or bachelor’s degree in geomatics, mapping or surveying | recommended

  • Experience in LiDAR data collection and processing | recommended

  • Proficiency in CAD software: Civil3D and Bently | recommended

  • The ability to multitask and be detailed-oriented
