Building Envelope Specialist

Summary

Etica Group is a growing architectural and engineering firm looking to add to our Building Envelope team in our Indianapolis or New Haven office. Etica focuses on quality, functional infrastructure projects that support public works and safety throughout the state of Indiana. This role is responsible for providing design execution and technical leadership to the project team and clients. The successful candidate must have the ability to plan and meet project deadlines, lead a project team, and a holistic understanding of the design and construction process.

Responsibilities
  • Perform on-site roof, masonry, or window inspections and assessments to review deficiencies in building envelopes.

  • Knowledge of roof systems, masonry restoration, water and moisture management techniques and standards.

  • Develop and prepare construction drawings and specifications in a manner consistent with professional and industry technical standards.

  • Preparation of cost estimates and project budgets.

  • Assist the Project Manager by attending client meetings, writing meeting notes, and project coordination.

  • Coordinate with our project team to ensure that project goals and quality standards are met.

  • Provide construction administration for a project which may include review of shop drawings, site visits, and review of project conditions.

Skills & Qualifications

Minimum 5 years’ experience in architecture or engineering with a focus on Building Envelope Design | required

Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial facility design that includes K-12, municipal, transportation, higher education, or other institutional facilities. | required

Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction | preferred

CAD | required

REVIT / BIM| preferred

BLUEBEAM| preferred
