Etica Group is pleased to announce the promotion of Jason Doan, PE, CPESC to the position of Director of Engineering Services. In this role, he will oversee the civil engineering, transportation engineering, and construction inspection departments. Prior to this promotion, he served for 12 years at Etica Group as the Engineering Department Manager. His commitment to the firm’s growth and success has been seen as the civil engineering department grew under his management.
Jason stated, “Early in my career at Etica Group, I was mentored by one of the firm’s founders, Mark Westphal. Mark included me in meetings with clients to help me learn necessary skills for my future growth and development. I will model my management style based on what I learned from him. I will work with our individuals on their career goals and growth plans to ensure the success of not only our staff but also the firm.”

About Jason Doan:
Jason holds a Bachelor of Science in both Landscape Horticulture & Design and Civil Engineering with a Structural Engineering Emphasis from Purdue University. He is a Professional Engineer, Certified Arborist, and Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control. He has over 12 years of experience in project management, site design, stormwater management, ADA infrastructure, and permitting requirements. His experience varies from site development projects at the Indianapolis Airport Authority to municipal infrastructure, parks, and site development projects.
Outside of work, Jason and his wife are busy watching their daughter perform at Butler University where she is studying ballet and travel to see their son play hockey for the Indy Junior Fuel. He’s known throughout the office to play friendly pranks on fellow co-workers and provide a joke of the week.
